No, you do not have to complete the entire course in one sitting. You can access our courses at any time day or night. This allows you to study the materials at your convenience and also guarantees that you always have access to the most up-to-date version of the course(s). You can begin a course, be interrupted and end your session; you can return to www.accesscontinuingeducation.com at any time and begin again or pick up where you left off.

You do, however, need to complete the course test in one sitting as your answers will not be saved. If you do not want to complete the test online in one sitting, you can print the test by clicking on the printer icon in your Internet browser. This will allow you to complete the test on paper and then you can just log on, enter your answers and pay for the course.

Can I see a course before deciding to purchase it?

Nevada Courses

Nevada law requires that several types of healthcare professionals, including nurses, take four hours of continuing education "relating to the medical consequences of an act of terrorism that involves the use of a weapon of mass destruction." This requirement has been incorporated into the Nevada Nurse Practice Act (NRS 632.343 (3).

Beginning January 1, 2005, all nurses renewing their licenses must have completed this four-hour bioterrorism course as part of their CE renewal requirement. On that date, the Board's random CE audits began to include auditing for proof that renewing nurses have completed the bioterrorism course.

This course exceeds the Nevada requirement. The Nevada State Board of Nursing accepts continuing nursing education that is approved by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.

Access Continuing Education, Inc. is approved as a provider of nursing continuing education (provider #09-06-003PR) by the Vermont State Nurses' Association, Inc., which is accredited as an approver of continuing education in nursing by the American Nurses' Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.
